We include Resonet guitars in this list simply because it was the same crew under the same management. It was also the time Joseph Ruzicka, the production manager and the father of Czechoslovakian guitars, gave the new brand name - Jolana - to his guitars. In 1959 the production moved to Hradec Kralove (Bohemia) and Blatne factory produced guitars only untill 1960. The production of Czechoslovakian guitars started in 1954 at Blatne (Bohemia), when it was called Resonet and the guitars were not as cheesy as they became later. Czech collectors say the numbers relate to necks and have no meaning.ĭating of Jolanas can be done only aproximately by potentiometers' dating and production dates of a particular model.
